My new Versa is great but the heart rate monitor does not seem to work. The videos say there is a blue light but mine has not blue light in the back?
Is mine just broken, should there be a blue light HR monitor?

Don’t get the Ionic. I currently have it and am having the same issue. I looked up if the versa was having the same problem and it does. Looks like I’m returning my Ionic and not getting a versa. Shame since I REALLY like it.

The HR is working on my new verse however the numbers are way off. It shows the heart rate at 136 bpm, however, when wearing the blaze, heart rate shows normal. There seems to be a defect with the HR monitor on the versa.

Thanks for posting. I have tried these steps and the versa is giving false readings. Not sure what else to do.

So what I'm hearing is that once the heart rate monitor goes off (inexplicably), there is no way to get it back on? Therefore, inclines, calories are all wrong. How can this be?

Yes. When will Fitbit acknowledge there is a defect in the Versa and others. I like the Versa and would buy for my family. But I must be convinced the defect has been corrected. And tested. When will Fitbit address this issue?

Thanks for the comments about the tattoos! I have a tattoo on my left wrist. My charge 2 worked fine over it, but my Versa needed a little adjustment. I got it 3 days ago and it was sporadically tracking heart rate. Works perfect just slightly lower on my wrist. Still an issue that needs to be addressed, but I wont give up the Versa just yet.

Shut down your watch (in settings). There is also an on/off button you can check. I **ahem** mine down & works fine now! Good luck!

I’m having the same issue. I’ve had it for almost 3 months and the heart rate monitor hasn’t worked since wearing it in the pool. It wasn’t the first time and I wasn’t even swimming, just playing with my toddler. It’s never been more than about a foot underwater. I hope it snaps out of it; I’ve really liked the watch but having a working HRM is kinda the main point.

I noticed my heart rate monitor stopped working today. It was working fine but recently I have been wearing in the shower...hmmm sounds like the issue may be water. I guess I will begin the long drawn out process of trying to get a replacement which I am a little bummed about because I really like my Versa.

Yeah my Heart Rate Monitor stopped working one day, no green LED flashing, nothing. So I turned the Heart Rate Monitor off in the watch, then shut it down from the watch settings>about device>shut down. I waited a couple minutes, turned it back on, then turned the Heart Rate Monitor back on, and now it works perfectly again.

I’m not seeing what people are talking about with where you can turn off the heart rate monitoring and the versa in settings? I have an iPhone and I’m not seeing the option anywhere. Hoping it will resolve itself when the battery runs out 😕

Never mind, I found it in the watch, not the app. Thank you, it’s working now! Must have toggled it on accident. Phew!

The turn off is in the watch. Go to settings & then scroll to Heart Rate.
It may just need to shut down the watch & turn it back on. Shut down from
settings & then to turn back on hold the left button until screen lights
up. Let me know if this works.
Awesome!
