Versa heart rate reading inquiry

I have noticed that my heart rate reading on the Walking exercise program reads 169 and shows that on the graph on the walking program but when I get out of the exercise app, the heart rate graph only shows a reading of 117. Why the discrepancy? Is it because the exercise program is picking up constantly and entering the data and the other is only marking the data at x-number of minute intervals? Just wondering.

By the way, my Charge HR was showing pulse readings in the 160's and I thought that was wrong. Since it was old, I bought the new Versa. Dang if it didn't show those high pulse readings. Mentioned this to my doctor and it turns out there was a problem alright--with me! Thanks, Fitbit, because you were the impetus to discover a medical problem I was unaware of.

It's great to have you here @DianeMcKinSC.

Regarding your inquiry, are you seeing this discrepancy in the heart rate tile or in the exercise tile? I recommend going to the exercise tile, go to your walk and there see your heart rate information. If this isn't being accurate, feel free to provide me with a screenshot.

In the meantime, you can check our help article What should I know about my heart rate data?.

Catch you later. Robot Happy

This is a screen shot of both the Exercise tile and the Heart Rate Tile. Notice the differences. Which can I believe?

This is my first time responding to a reply, and I may have done it wrong. I did reply to your post on 8/30/18 at 08:55 with a screen shot that you requested. I hope this will help figure out what is going on. Thanks in advance.
