The green light on the back of my Versa stays on all the time even when I take the watch off and set it down I can't figure out how to turn this off. Thanks

Hello @Mcash17, on the Versa, let's swipe over to settings , swipe up to heart rate and tap to change to auto. This should do it.

I did that but there is no “auto” choice- only on or off.

Oops, sorry I was going by memory, you are correct there is only on/off. I now have the Versa on my wrist and about 2 seconds after taking it off my wrist the lights turn off.my suggestion would be to shutdown the versa then restart by holding in the left button

It's great to welcome you @Mcash17 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
I would like to know if you keep having issues with your heart rate sensor? Have the instructions provided by our friend worked?
Hope to hear from you soon.

My Versa has only "on" and "off". There's obviously a bug in the firmware. If I reset my watch, it works correctly for a few days the goes back to staying on all the time.

The Versa @tcxero only has on/off settings for the heart rate, so this is correct.
When you say that it stays on all the time, are you saying that when the watch is taken off the arm, the heart rate lights stay on?

I have my heart rate monitor turned off, have reset my Fitbit and the green light still stays on

I had the same problem even after resetting it. I found it you swipe to Settings, turn the heart rate monitor off and on, it starts working normally again.

@Russruss99 that is the way the Versa and ionic work, I have the feeling that the Charge 3 also does this . In short Fitbit has designed it this way, but was it intentional or a bug that slipped in?

I had a Charge 3 for a long time and never had a problem with the heartbeat monitor. I've only experienced the problem with the Versa.

@tcxero I think your reffering to the Charge 2, which does turn off the heart sensor lights. The Charge 3 only went on sale last week.
Since the Charge 3 runs a modified version of the same operating system as the versa and ionic, a have the feeling that the three models may act the same way.
The Charge 2 does not run a true OS.

It was a Charge 2. My bad.

Hello @speter does the HR sensor stay on when the tracker has been removed from the arm? If so, see the solution above.

So your saying, as mentioned above and in other places, the heart rate doesn't turn off when it is set to off.
Yes you are correct.

The instructions work, but the Versa continues to leave the heart rate sensor on frequently. Sometimes it goes off by itself, other times I have to reset it.
