Did you try my recommendation? How i got mine to work was to do a factory reset and plug your watch into a laptop or computer USB port and not a wall plug in. Doing this worked for me and hopefully it works for you too. If not, you may need to get a replacement, sadly.

I'm not the original poster, but... for me, the HR monitor does show -- instead of readings, and the sensors only work intermittently after rebooting. Rebooting seems to be the standard answer here, but that's just good enough when one keeps on having to reboot!

I have tried the factory reset and reboot several times and my sensors are not working.

Give it up and invest in a Garmin or Apple watch.

i did that too but it still isn't working 😞 from my setting tab on the
watch, the heart rate button, toggling from on to off.

I  tried performing a factory reset (restoring your tracker to factory defaults), it didn’t work!

I perform factory reset. Still didn’t work.

I rebooted and followed all advise my green sensor laser still won’t come on. I noticed this is a common complaint that Fitbit is not addressing.

Yes i know 😞 fitbit has gotten back to me but they are telling me to do
all the things i have already done. So frustrating! It shouldnt do this,
especially in having it less than a year. Ive had a Garmin watch for 6
years and have never had problems.

have they gotten back to you now though? pity is that i recommended it in the first 4 months i'd used it to a bunch of my gym friends and they all bought it. am upset and frustrated because given that i'm still on warranty i expected them to at least tell me to send it to them and they can fix it and waste time dealing with whatever problem it has. doing all this restarts, rebooting, factory resetting, installing and uninstalling apps have wasted so much of my time!!! won't re invest in a fitbit for sure.

Ever heard back from them. And for all of the posts describing basically
the same issue - crickets! But I live my Apple Watch!

They’ll offer you 20% off of something new you might buy. Good luck, I know
it’s frustrating

I ended up getting another Fitbit. I got the adidas iconic. Despite my warranty being out, Fitbit showed some goodwill and I got it at a discount. I am happy I did. I really like it. I recall being pretty disappointed when my beloved Versa stopped working, I didn’t think I would get another Fitbit but at the end of the day I am very glad I did. I know others that switched and are happy too. I think it is all about simply having something that works.

I've tried everything. I haven't had this Versa for two years and this is the 4th time the sensor lights have stopped working. In the past, cleaning, turning off and turning on, unchecking heart rate then checking the heart rate has worked. this time nothing and its been two weeks. I spoke with a representative today, her advice was to reset it to factory and erase all the memory. I did that and the app cant connect to the tracker now and the tracker remains on the "to get started, download the app."so frustrating

The sensor light is not working.  The watch died from a full charge to 0% in less than an hour, it got really hot, shut off and now the sensor light is not working and it will only stay charged for a few hours. I went to settings and turned HR off then back on.  I then restarted the watch.  No change.  Still seeing "--" for HE.  Please help, I have only had my watch 2 weeks.

2 weeks, call Fitbit and be persistent, they need to replace. Reference
history of versa issues. They will string you along and you loose time. Be
strong, they will try to reboot, hard reset etc.... get a new one. Your
tone trying to fix it and fight there system is too valuable
