Heather, good question! What IS Fitbit going to do about this issue. A
lot of people have loved the brand, spent a lot of money, and are now very
frustrated.

Mine is doing the same thing and yes, I have trying restoring to factory setting, toggling the HR monitor on and off and even doing a restart of my fit bit. And yes where it normally shows the BPM it shows "--"
when a company will only warranty an item for a month, you know it is a piece of junk.

I’m still trying to get my replacement replaced. Though I’ve moved on, it’s
the principle of the thing. It’s a lot of money for a promise of a product
that should function as advertised.

Kaylene,
Same thing happened to my versa, sensor light stopped working, tried everything, even created a new account and tried that nothing worked, called fitbit and only option was 25% towards a new one, I told them to keep the fitbit, Im going Apple watch series 5. I have had about 5 fitbits in my life and had some sorta problem with them all.

As I only had it two weeks !!! I’ve taken back and got my money back lucky me
!
Msy wsit to see if they’ve fixed issue on Versa 2 or buy Argos warranty just in case
can’t really justify 240 pounds more for Apple Watch with not many more features ??? I could be wrong 😳

If you want a watch that has similar features, but actually works, I'd say it's worth it.

Hi
what is Fitbit doing about heart rate monitor issue?
I’ve been emailing the customer support team since 26 June and completed all their troubleshooting tips and I still don’t have a functioning Versa, but my device is under warranty so should work as advertised rather than as a pedometer only. It’s not tracking sleep, heart rate or exercise.
I’ve been told multiple times that it’s a known issue and they are working on it but in the meantime you launch a brand new product while leaving your existing customers in the lurch!
What is Fitbit doing about this? When can we explain fix for the heart rate problem?
There are several threads on this site on the same topic so please do not tell me factory reset or unpair my device these are not the problem.

Hello NicVera,
If your item is under warranty they will probably replace it if you can show them proof of purchase. In my case my warranty had been out couple months, but I thought since a lot of people out there were having this issue that they might would do something but the only option they gave me was to give me 25% towards a new Fitbit, so they made out like they was not aware of an issue like this so I am just going to stop buying the Fitbit product.

True. And I will give them credit for that. And they were helpful and nice
on the phone. However the replacement was worse than my broken original.
And the second go around trying to address the issue (still under warranty)
has been laborious and frustrating.

I am relieved to say that after my replacement arrived (under warranty after the HR stopped working)the initial issues of it not connecting to my gps it has now resolved. I am hopeful that I don't have any further problems. Hope you all get sorted too!

I think this is one way of pushing their sales, they replace it and usually the replacement is nowhere near as good as the first one so they are hoping that we will buy their new product that they’re manufacturing it is more or less just a way to push their sales. I’m sure if not as many would buy the Fitbit product and turn into another then it would get their attention.
Happy that it is working out for you so far,And you have gotten some justification.

If that’s the case, they have a terrible marketing system. I’ll never buy another Fitbit product again. I’ll pay the extra $200 for an Apple Watch that works.

Great! Happy you got your money, Take the time and shop around and it will help you decide what you really want. Apparently a lot of people are having problems with the Fitbit and from my experience Fitbit don’t really care about the customers they just want to sell products. I have found that really what they want is the money

“To be fair” I didn’t pay over $200 to need a replacement AND have the replacement malfunction. Glad you got your money back. Do what @TimothyBW said and shop around and give them more business. You’re one of the few.
