Versa heart rate too low?

Hi all- I've been mostly pleased with my Versa purchase. I don't expect the HR numbers to be exact, however my Versa seems to register too low. My resting heart rate is reading fine, when I go on brisk walks, it registers fine. However, on elliptical it is too low. Today was the first time comparing numbers with my Polar H7. It maxed out at 165 on polar and 158 on Versa, which isn't too bad. Issue is that 158 was only a peak and lasted for seconds. Most of the time it was reading about 30 points lower then the Polar and the Elliptical machine itself. Any suggestions?

Hi, @Mercsable, the elliptical machine involves a lot of arm movement and possibly wrist flexion.  Wrist worn heartrate trackers often do not work well with machines where a lot of wrist flexion is involved (rowing machines are a well known example).

In order to get the most consistently accurate heartrate during an elliptical workout, I would suggest wearing you you Versa a little higher up on your wrist (away from the bendy part) and also wearing it a little bit snugger.  Hopefully that will help.
