Versa how to respond to texts?

I just received my Versa and I am excited to have it.  One of the reasons I chose this, was the ability to respond to texts on it.  But I can not figure out how to respond.  I can see messages but can not respond.  All of the info I have found on this is from 2018.  I have an Apple phone.  Has the software been updated so that I can do it?

Unfortunately, quick reply works only with Android phones, not Apple.

I believe that is a restriction based in Apple, not a Fitbit decision.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
