Versa hr and tattoo issues?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just received my Versa I had a blaze prior for I want to say two years no issues. I have a ton of tattoos I’ve noticed if I don’t have the sensor directly over an open area during a workout it will not register that I do in fact have a pulse. This is depressing! I had gotten the Apple Watch around Christmas time and it wouldn’t work at all over my tattoos. Apple said that was a normal issue with their sensors. So I returned it and went back to my trusty Fitbit. Now this! Tell me I’m not alone here 😭😭 did they change the sensors that much ?

I am going to keep mine,

I put it on backwards at night. I am not sure how they can fix it with only one sensor

The only fix that they could do would be a brand new version with more sensors.

Found a solution, after my wife found this online, I cut a portion of the clear soft plastic cap liner of a gatorade bottle out and put it under the sensor, worked immediately, apparently it magnifies your wrist.

I tried the silicone stickers people have been using for Apple watches.. it didn’t work for the versa 😩 sadly i have now returned it

I didn't use one of those, I have some on order but legitimately just a
piece of plastic under the cap of a gatorade bottle.

I just got tattooed on my fore arm two weeks ago and my Versa can't read my heartbeat now. Can't receive any notifications anymore. It's like if the sensor can't see that I'm wearing my watch. It really sucks.

Dan, I read somewhere that silicone sticker work or the inside of a Gatorade cap placed between your skin and the watch. I bought epoxy stickers and cut them in half and it works. If you google that you may have a better description than I gave, but it worked.

I'm having the same issue. I have to remember to flip my watch to the inside of my wrist (where there isn't a tattoo) to get it to read my hr.
