I am contemplating purchasing a Versa, however I was reminded of something I dislike about my Blaze on my lunchtime run today. Whenever I run in the rain my wet sleeves activate the touch screen and my run is often paused or ended without my knowledge. Is this something that has been addressed the Versa?

Hi, AFAIK this "problem" has not been addressed for the Versa. The Versa is water resistant up to 50 meters, not waterproof. Personally I have walked many, many times in heavy rain with my dogs wearing long sleeves and never noticed that my Versa's screen is activated by this. Hope this helps.

This is irrelevant. The OP's issue is wet clothing brushing the screen face and changing settings.
Can't answer myself. Never been caught in the rain with long sleeves while bicycling.

Hi, thanks for pointing me to this issue, I will update my first post with my personal experiences in heavy rain and wearing long sleeves while walking my dogs.

Actually it says it is waterproof up to a depth of 50 meters and can track swimming laps, but that’s not really my question - my question is - does the rain still activate the screen?

Hi, see my updated first response, but no it does not activate your screen. I have been walking my dogs in heavy rain wearing long sleeves and my screen did not wake up by the movement of my sleeves and touching my screen whilst being soaking wet.

Did you have your versa tracking the walk as a workout at the time kuzibri?

Yep, I did. With all exercises I have done with my Versa in the rain, they did not activate my screen. Maybe I'm just a lucky guy

Well hopefully that means it’s not an issue with the Versa like it is with the Blaze. There are several forum posts regarding this situation with the Blaze,
but I’m not finding anything on it with the Versa, so hoping that’s a good sign! Thanks for your answer!
