Versa inaccurate steps/distances

I upgraded to the Versa from an Alta. The Versa is not recording all my steps. I can take 20-30 steps from one room to another and it does not record any of them. On my Alta a mile was about 2200-2300 steps, which should be about right for me. The Versa is saying that a mile is 3200-3300+ steps. Earlier this morning I compared the Versa to My fitness Pal on my phone. Both said .11 mile but the Versa said 384 steps while the phone said 265. I did not have my phone with me the whole time so I didn’t expect the steps to be the same but the distance shouldn’t t be either. I’m getting frustrated with the inaccuracies of the Versa’s step/distance tracking. Any ideas for fixing this? Thanks

All of these devices can record different amounts of steps, even from the same manufacturer. At best these number need to be used for day to day comparison purposes. There is no adjustment on the Versa so there is no fixing.  If you device does not measure any steps then it could be time to contact service if you have tried the usual resets.

Thanks for your reply. I could use the numbers for comparison if they were consistent. It’s gotten worse over time. When I got it, a mile was 2700ish steps. Now it’s 3200+. I’ve done a factory reset. We’ll see how that goes.
