Versa increasing calories/steps when not used

I bought mine today thinking it was going to be a good piece of kit but I’ve had issues all day with the steps and calories increasing randomly. I will be returning it as faulty tomorrow, this shouldn’t be happening they’re not exactly cheap watches. Poor

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps.

No it’s not been near any equipment at all. It was bought this morning brand new
