Versa is completely unresponsive

My Fitbit versa won’t turn on at all. I have tried the restart method as well as holding down all 3 buttons for a while. The lights on the back won’t flash or anything. I charged it up to 100% yesterday and used it for about 15 minutes and took it off. When I came back to put it back on after about 30 minutes it was completely unresponsive. I’m not sure what else to try.

  Hi,

I was using my versa as an alarm in the mornings.  My versa didn't hold its charge and then has gone completely unresponsive.  Can I get it fixed.  I've only had it 18 months and it cost a lot of money.  Some retailers are saying its a throwaway watch?!

Regards Erica

This happened to me as well. My watch is about two years old. I spoke with support yesterday and all they did was offer me a 25% discount on a new watch and told me there was nothing else they could do after I tried restarting it.

It appears it is an expensive throwaway watch. I'm definitely not planning on buying another one for the same price.

My Fitbit Versa has completely died. I went to sleep with 75% battery and woke to a dead watch. It will not charge - when placed into the (original) charger  it shows that battery at 0% but then does not charge at all. I have left it in the charger for 2 days now and tried multiple sockets and plugs to ensure that it is not that. I have also tested another charger to ensure it is not the cables. As it has no battery I can not get it to reset and no lights flash at all. I’ve had my watch for 2 years but I expect a longer life than that for the money it costs. I have cleaned it and I don’t get it wet. I have looked at all the troubleshooting guides to no avail.

@SunsetRunner Sounds like exactly what happened to mine. It’s very frustrating.

The warranty is for 12 months you probably should contact customer service
for a refund.

I contacted customer service yesterday and they are processing my
replacement because my watch was less than 2 months old

@Celestriana My watch is 2 years old so it no longer falls under the warranty. I’m out of luck.

Hi LizzyFitbit

Could you please open a case for my Versa too?

Worked fine till this weekend when it completely went down showing 0%. I plugged it in and right away showed I had 65% (???). Made sure it was fully charged, worn it for a few hours and bang, same thing, 0%.

Yesterday, every now and then it would just turn black and then your logo, but stay on your logo.

Also the green light in the back no longer shows, and no heart rate.

I read the troubleshooting here (reset, turned off, factory setting, had removed the app and reinstalled it, etc.). I was able to wear it today, without the heart rate, but the battery went down within some hours instead of 4-5 days as usual so it's being plugged in, again.

I've been with Fitbit with many years (Zip x2, Alta, now Versa). I need to believe that I can trust Fitbit because I've spent a lot of money on your products.

Thanks

Good luck! I too have had many different fitbits and loved my versa, but after 2 I won’t invest anymore money. Going to Apple.

Sorry to hear that. I wonder if there is any kind of recall if so many
people are having issues

My son bought the Versa 2 about a year ago for himself and he stopped wear it for about 4 months (he's 10 years old) and when he went to use it again there was no charge (expected) but it won't charge up. We've tried cleaning the pins, changing the charger and full on reboot. No luck. He's pretty disappointed. Hoping you can help.

Thanks in advance.
