Versa is connecting to my spotify (phone) and blocking my phone from playing music in my car.

I purchased my Versa 2 weeks ago and LOVE it. But I've not been able to listen to Spotify in my car since.

I have an ac adaptive bluetooth transmitter. Anytime I open Spotify on my phone to play in my car, my Versa vibrates with a notification showing what is "playing" but nothing comes through my speakers. I do not have the spotify app on my versa so I'm not sure what is going on but I miss having my spotify playing in my car.

Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Hi, go to your Fitbit app on your phone , got to the Apps page, go to all Apps and type inthe search bar Spotify. It will apear on top, press it and install it. After that you should see Spotify in my Apps and on your Versa. Whever it's in your my Apps, press the settings icon on the right side of the screen and loging. Did it my self, except logging in, and I have Spotify on my Mobile Device and Versa. Good luck.

I dont want spotify on my versa. Its (versa) automatically connecting to
spotify and preventing it from connecting in my car and playing. Its like
its playing on my versa instead of feom my phone to my fm transmitter like
it normally did.

Hi, I do not know if it's possible to have Spotify only on your MD and not the Versa. Would advice to try that by trial and error. In my apps go again to Spotify,  press the settings function and go to permissions.See if that brings you what you want, e.g. only on MD.

Hi, hope to have found the solution for your Spotify Problem: go to the Playstore, search for Spotify and install it on your MD. Whenever works well it's not visible in your Fitbit app and, certainly, not on your Versa. Logging in is also necessary and you'll have a seperate app for listening to your music. Probably you're already aware of that, but the reason for posting it, it that Spotify for Fitbit, and thus the Versa, is developed for being used during running, exercising and the like and not for car usage.

Thats the thing. I don't want to use it for my car. Some how my versa automatically "Connects" when I get into my car and try to listen to spotify from my phone. But somehow it redirects to my versa and prevents me from listening from my phone to my car. I'm wondering if there is a way to prevent this from happening so I can listen to my music in my car again (through my phone, not the versa - I don't listen or have the need to listen to my music with my versa)

I do not know whether this solution is possible, but you could give it a try (if I understand you well):

1. Install Spotify seperately on your Mobile device for usage in your car without Fitbit interfering. So, when in your car stop the Fitbit app and start the Spotify app for listening to your music in the car.

2, Install the SpotifyHR app on your Mobile device and after that sync your Versa to have SpotifyHR on your Versa. You can use than this app when you're running or the like. Be sure that the "seperate" Spotify app is not running, also not in the background.
