Versa is experiencing "Connected GPS" issues

Hi,

I have a Versa (classic - not Versa 2 or Lite) and a Galaxy S8 phone. When I try and use the connected GPS feature when I go out on a run, walk or bike, the GPS often cuts out and only records parts of the run. All of the HR data records and the timer is right, but when I look at the map afterwards, the start point is correct, but then it draws a straight line to some part in the run a while later, and then records GPS for a bit and then cuts out and draws a straight line to some other point in the run. This means that the distance and pace are also wrong.

Is this a problem with my Versa or are others experiencing the same?

Thank you in advance!
