Versa is giving too high heart rate

Has anyone else had their heart rate go up over 200bpm? My Fitbit versa said mine went to 204bpm for a few minutes. I had done weights then jumped on the treadmill only walking at a semi fast pace then that happened! The day before it was 186bpm but that’s usually around my max when doing very high intensity. Could this be wrong? 🤔

Hi there @gem.h, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll be glad to help you with the high heart rate readings you've been getting from your Versa.

If you haven't done so yet, please restart your Fitbit Versa as described in this help article. Then, make sure about the following:

  1. Your device is positioned correctly on your wrist:
    • Tighten the band so that it doesn’t slip on your wrist. For more information, see How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?
    • Heart-rate tracking may not work with certain accessory bands, especially if they’re loose fitting. For best results, use the wristband that came with your device.
  2. If you’re doing an exercise such as high-intensity interval training, boxing, or other activities that cause your arm to move vigorously, try to relax your wrist and stay still for up to 10 seconds until your heart rate appears.

After this, monitor your Versa for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted, I'll be around.

Mine is doing this also when walking, this is the second versa that’s done this, I’ve reset it, and done everything that’s been advised yet Ive been for a walk today and it’s recorded me having a HR of 196 for nearly 25 minutes. I don’t know what else to do. Any advice? Thank you

I have done everything that has been recommended and still no solution. I just ignore the reading. The heart rate is of no benefit to me anymore, as well as syncing. It no longer does that either.  Tried everything recommended.  Also  tried everything for the battery draining - nothing works. The update killed everything that was working on my watch.

This has also been happening to me this past week. My Versa says my heart rate is at 180 even when I’m sitting or resting. I have tried turning off the heart rate and turning it back on as well as resetting the watch multiple times.
please let me know how I can fix this.
