I understand your frustration.
This is my first experience with a "smart watch" - the "lower" level fitbits (Trackers) never had this issue. I have considered getting a Charge, but my concern is that it will have the same syncing issues, or that the product won't last more than a year.
As much as I've enjoyed my FitBit products, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. When the Versa Lite came out, my wife spent $200 on it for a Father's Day gift. It lasted 14 months. So, we basically paid $14/month for a device that worked great at first, but died abruptly.
Good luck

My Fitbit still isn’t syncing. I’ve had this problem from the beginning and it’s really getting worse. I agree with the first message: it’s an oké watch, but the syncing is really bad!!! Why doesn’t it work like it’s supposed to do?

Just kidding... got one notification and syncd...and then the evil red line of no device found. 😠

Thanks,MarcoGFitbit, your suggestion of resetting the Versa 2 watch was prefaced with, “Please make sure you sync the watch before performing the reset so that all your current data transfer over. Factory resetting your device clears all data from the watch including music.” That’s the issue: the watch won’t sync. Not with either of two Android phones or the iPad. Is a factory reset the only way to go? All else seems to not work. I’m afraid I need more specific directions for “ restart”, “remove”, “forget, “update”. Thanks again.GwenLeF

This watch really is useless everyday it fails to sync, I use agenda, it says it hasnt synced for three days, I keep rebooting watch and my iphone. It really is a piece of rubbish. I am told the Garmin is the one to have, it works, mine has never tracked my sleep in the three months I have had it.

This is a ridiculously stupid suggestion to a real problem. You're just getting the watch the sync ONE TIME like this. The problem is the issue is continuous, so if you need to go in and turn bluetooth off and on again and restart the watch, that's not a working product. Mine is doing the same thing. It should be syncing throughout the day but it only does it about every 5 hours. The weather widget I have in the watch always reads as an error because of this.
You need to revert the app back to what it was before the august update. Obviously something broke

I had the Fitbit app on both my cellphone and my Galaxy Tab.
The Fitbit would not sync on my cell phone - no matter what!
I tried sync with the tablet and it synced!
Then I went back to the phone, and it synced okay.
If you have a tablet or alternate device that you can install the Fitbit app on, I would do that and get it to sync.
So you then have a fall-back device to try if it won't sync with the phone.

Exactly. I don't really care about whatever work arounds exist, this should work on it's own. The watch was 200 bucks and doesn't even function correctly.

Jogger,
wish I could give you some answers. After using various Fitbit products over the course of 3 years, I no longer use or help support Fitbit.
my versa lite lasted 14 months before the syncing issues began, and the device failed.
fitbit responded by offering me 25% off of any of their regular priced products, or 50% off a hideously ugly version of a versa lite that just failed. Guess they had a glut of inventory that they couldn’t sell.
I almost pulled the trigger on it, but when I asked technical support if I would continue to have sync issues, or if the product would last more than 14 months - they either couldn’t answer my questions, or they refused to do so. They couldn’t, or wouldn’t stand behind their product.
I’ll tell you this - I missed it at first, but I don’t miss it anymore. Looking forward to buying a different smart watch in the future.
good luck

I hate to be the bad guy here, but if you look through my posts you will see some of my experiences with Fitbit over the last several months.
simply put, once you start having these issues - it’s time to buy a new device. It won’t work anymore, and Fitbit does not stand behind their product.
I used various Fitbit products for over 3 years. The last was my VersaLite. It died after 14 months (sync issue) and Fitbit told me that it was over the date of warranty (12 month warranty).
They offered me a 25% discount on select purchases. I was interested, but asked this question.
”will you stand behind your products and guarantee that this sync issue won’t happen again in the future?”
They wouldn’t answer, instead saying only that they offered a 1 year warranty. Outside of that, it was my problem.
So, after being a customer for 3 years - I moved away from Fitbit.

Why stand behind your products when you can just sell the new version!

Thank you for your honest reply. I am on my second Fitbit Lite. The first one has syncing issues and a factory reset rendered it totally inoperable! They replaced it because it was under warranty. This new one worked for probably 10-11 months and now I'm back to syncing issues again! Right now my watch is an hour behind and has not synced for at least 1 day (I actually lost count). I am totally through with this BS! I buy a watch and expect it to work as it's supposed to and that I won't have to jump through hoops to get it do what it's supposed to! I might as well go out in the middle of my yard, turn to the east, raise my left foot. put one hand on my waist and the other in my right ear and sing row row row your boat! Same thing as what you have to do to get versa lite to sync! I would like to ask what you moved on to and how you like it. Is it a Garmin? I've heard a lot of good things about a Garmin, but don't know anyone that has one to ask.
