Versa is not tracking accurate heart rate readings

I have the Charge 3 and recently picked up the Versa 2. Comparably the heart rate trackers are different with their readings. RHR say just sitting at the computer can be 20-30 higher with the Versa 2. I've tried different positioning with the device and band tightness. There have been some threads on the RHR for some in the 100's and these individuals know that they should not be that high. I have restarted the device a few times to see if that helps but no it hasn't. I'd hate to master reset without even knowing if this will fix anything. I would doubt it being i've tried a few things and it would be a firmware update or if the HR sensor is what it is, then that's about it. Has anyone fixed an issue that they've had like this? I didn't want to create a new post as i was browsing the HR threads but most of them are different HR sensor issues.

Hi @sanman202, thank you for participating in our Fitbit forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not providing accurate heart rate readings. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Set up your watch from scratch

After this, monitor your watch and see if it provides accurate heart rate readings.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
