Versa is not tracking heart rate properly

I am now on my 2nd fitbit versa product. My 1st versa after a year started having trouble with the heart rate monitor...it either did not register at all or registered a very high rate that was inaccurate.  Needless ro say this happened just after the 1 yr warranty extended.  I opted to buy another one.  The versa lite this time. And again I am having trouble with it.  I have reset/restarted it numerous times.  On settings it is on.  I cant believe that 2 out of 2 watches can have problem with the same component.  Surely this needs to be looked at.  I am totally losing my faith in this brand which is a pity. Never did I intend to buy a new watch every 14 or so months?

Hi @Ipienaar, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your recent Versa Lite stopped tracking your heart rate. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if your heart rate is measured properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
