Versa is not tracking steps or heart rate

I had a problem with my Fitbit versa giving me 1300 steps repeatedly.  I reported and was told it was a glitch.  It finally started working but now I have no steps or heart rate.  The time and date are fine.  I have barely had the device for a year.  I don’t want to buy another.

I gave up. I got a 25% discount for a new one but couldn’t justify another expensive one. They only seem to last 14 months for me. My father gave me his Aspire, no heart rate but it does count steps! I don’t think the advanced watches were meant for me!
