My current Fitbit's button has jammed, I replaced the device with a working spare but is running on the old firm ware version, how do I update it to the 38. Current firmware??

Hi there @Lilylosthercool, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear what happened to your old Versa's button. Thanks for the details shared in your post, I'll be glad to help you with your inquiry about the firmware update on your new watch.

 

Since you have just setup your Versa it may appear up to date but it needs another update. The latest update isn't available until up to 48 hours after setup.

 

Please keep me posted if after the 48 hours you're still not receiving the most recent version of your watch.

Why would an update NOT be available for 48 hours after setup? That is the most dumbest thing I've heard. It's like buying a car with a door missing but being told a door can't be installed for 48 hours after purchase? Why would a software/firmware update be bound by such long setup times?
