Did you mean:

Versa is only asking me to download the Fitbit app

Sorry to recreate a new thread again, but all the proposed solutions simply DON't work....

So, my Fitbit Versa was reset and I receive the message  "To start, download the Fitbit app".

On my Iphone:

- no device in Bluetooth menu defined

-on/off Bluetooth 10ths of times..

-reset the Iphone

- Fitbit app:

-deleted the existing Versa device

- The Versa Fitbit is simply not found by the app 😞

On Fitbit:

-pushed about 10 times right below and left button

-factory-reset

Iphone is plugged in to power, as well as Fitbit cradle

Really don't get why- given the numerous post (what a relief I'm not alone...), I really start having question on the quality of Fitbit, never had this issue with my Polar....

Please help!

Hi @P_Reunis, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa asks you to download the Fitbit app in order start only. I totally understand how you feel about this. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Set up your watch as described in this help article and see if it works properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
