Just purchased my Versa on Monday. Been working fine all week at the gym. This morning it started pausing randomly while I was on the elliptical. Is there some kind of software glitch going on? My wrist was staying pretty steady (ie, not hitting buttons...). Even if it did hit the buttons, is there a way to not have the watch pause a workout by hitting a button?

A warm welcome to the Community @msix.
Have you tried to restart your Versa? If you haven't, I recommend doing this by following these steps:
Let me know the outcome.

I had the same issue when I had it on RUN. I clicked the settings on the RUN on my Versa and noticed that “auto pause” was set to ON. I turned it to OFF and now I do t have the issue anymore.

I have the same problem when I turned on auto-pause for cycling, Versa would pause while riding for no reason. The resolution was to turn off auto-pause.

I had the same issue last night while spinning. I cycled for 60 minutes, it paused after 16 minutes. There is no "auto-pause" option in "Treadmill", "Spinning", or "Elliptical"

I have the same issue, especially when wearing gloves. Turns out when I move my wrist it's hitting the pause button. Same reason I returned the ionic and now having the same annoying issue with the versa. Not to mention no notification on calls and text with horrible sleep tracking issues 😣😣😣

I have been having this problem. I do kickboxing and i realize from time to time it will pause during my workout...
What i found...
- Depends on how i wraps my hands, the velcro that closes the straps may hit the buttons.
- When i have quick view on, it will pause more.
What i've done
- Really watch how i wrap my hands, making sure that the wrap will end a lil under the curve of the underside of the versa.
- I found that the sweat in my glove i guess mimics my skin causing it to "touch" and activate the screen. Turning off the quick view when i start my workout seems to help
Not the best solutions as it still pauses from time to time, but it's helping

In the bike option settings I have turned off the auto pause multiple times but it defaults to auto pause "on" every time I try to use it. Now I have to turn off auto pause every time I ride. Any suggestions?

I have this issue with the wraps as well and can’t seem to figure out how to wrap them without it pausing...can you post a pic!??

Why is every answer to the watch not working correctly to restart it rather than addressing the real issue? Many people are reporting the calories are not registering correctly and the exercises are not being calculated and I can't keep restarting my watch all day

I have been having the same problem of late. I discovered that the problem is that my gloves are pusing the lower button on the right side of my Versa. Never had this happen on my Blaze. Seems like there needs to be an option to disable or disable all together the use of the ride side buttons that do the same function as touching the screen.

Hei,
same issue here which seems to be new on the Versa,...
On the Blaze I had the impression that hitting the buttons only had an effect when the screen was on, so whenever I made sure that the screen was off, I had no problems tracking my workouts.
Now, on the other hand, I can pause my exercises with the lower, right button even when the screen is off, so of course this happens frequently during all kinds of activities which is very annoying!
I hope that there can be a software update to fix this.

Hi Have also some unexpected stops at when do the interval timer workout, it stops at the begining, stay a few seconds on fitbit logo, and then return to watch, the second time with interval timer works fine.
on other hand on spinning 45 minutes always works fine no stops.
other thing sometimes on the app on exercise tab don't show the calories but if we went on the exercise data the calories were there, only not show on the resume board.

I'm having a problem with bike riding. At seemingly random the fitbit pauses. Auto-pause is TURNED OFF. Why is this happening in 2019?!

Thanks. That worked. I don't know how it got changed in the first place but happy to get it resolved.
