Versa is stuck on the logo screen

About 8 months old and it stopped syncing to my phone.  Tried reinstalling the app, restarting the watch, and then tried to do the "restore to factory" from the watch.  Now the watch just sits there stuck on the logo screen.  I cannot do anything with it.  It will not connect, sometimes has the fitbit logo on the screen.  The buttons do nothing. Tried the combinations of buttons, with no vibration at all.

 

Is there a way to force a reset connecting it to a computer?

 

Is it trash at this point?

The more I look around the forum, it seems like this is a widespread issue.  Was there a firmware update that screwed everything up?

 

Thinking I just need to switch to an Iwatch or something else.
