Versa is syncing but I'm not getting text notifications

Got my Versa yesterday and so far I am loving it. The only issue I have is I wasn't getting text notifications or anything so I went into the Fitbit app and it said I still needed to pair my phone and Fitbit, it is syncing fine but it just doesn't want to connect. I have a pair of headphones connected to my Fitbit and they work fine so I just don't understand why it isn't connecting to my phone.

So frustrating.  I upgraded from a charge 2 because I was excited this allows quick reply, music, and a easier interface. Of course no text messages and found out music only works for paid music, not Apple music

I am having the same problem and I get all the other notifications and I used to get text messages but not anymore or even after I did a factory reset

I was receiving all notifications on my Versa, including texts, and ever since the last firmware update, I get all notifications except text messages, which was the main feature I wanted when I purchased the Versa.  I am using a Samsung S7, on Verizon, with Message+.  I tried switching to Messages app, and it doesn't work, either, but every other app sends notifications, and I get phone calls as well.  I've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps, but it's clearly linked to the text message update.  No point in having quick replies when you don't even receive the message notification to begin with.  Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

@kingpin827  I believe you hit the nail on the head, and I hope the fitbit techies are reading this.  I believe the lack of receiving text messages is directly related to the firmware update.  I got my Fitbit on the early release and everything worked perfectly.  Once I did the firmware update, no texts.  I've done all the fixes, (and have the same set up as you) and cannot receive texts.

I am having the same issue - Verizon Galaxy S8+ using Message+. I just spoke to someone via support chat and we went through the same steps in the help section (turn off notifications in app, sync versa, turn off Bluetooth, reset versa, then turn all back on again) before he asked what type of messaging app I am using. This is apparently an ongoing issue that they have an open case for with a 'special team' working on a solution. He did not give me a timeframe on when a resolution could be expected or if it is something directly related to the most recent update (which seems to be the case). If anyone is having the same issue and has not yet spoken to someone in support, please do as it will continue to add to the amount of issues that are attached to the current case, which, in theory would aid in a quicker resolution for all.

Mine was doing the exact same thing. I switched over to the other messaging
app and did a restart of my phone and reconnected Bluetooth and I do get
the texts now but I prefer to use the Message+

Same here.  Versa was working fine before the update and now nothing.  I've tried all the suggested steps and nothing is working.  Hope someone gets this fixed soon.

Hi everyone.  So I have a Samsung Note 8, and was having the same issues as all of you. I fixed it by doing the following.

1. Open the Fitbit App, click on the Image of the fitbit in the top right corner.

2. Scroll down to Notifications

3. ENABLE notifications Or edit the ones that are listed.

I hope this helps.

For those of you who insist on using Message+ have you selected it as your text messaging app in the notifications section of the Fitbit settings on your ohobes?

I think Message + may be an issue. Try using regular messaging.

Yes, Message+ is selected as the default, with notifications.  I also switched the default to Messages, then added Message+ as a secondary for notifications, and nothing.  The issue is with Message+.  It worked fine before the firmware update.

Kingpin is completely correct - if it worked before the firmware update and it doesn't work now, then there is a bug in the update that can be fixed with some focus from Fitbit.

The alternatives, and other recommendations have all been tried by all of us.

We are just asking for the bug to be fixed, please and thank you Fitbit!

I have the V20 also.  I have called Fitbit, communicated via email and tried all the steps to "fix" the problem.  Every email/call I receive just gives me the same steps to try over and over again. Nothing has fixed the issue.  I receive call notifications but no text notifications.  I worried about purchasing the versa since it was so new to the market, obviously I should have waited.  Hopefully they will resolve the issue soon.

Have had my Versa for a while and still not receiving notifications. I've read through every post and tried it all, but nothing. I get calendar and calls, but no texts. Need some suggestions.
