Got an iPhone XR and it “can’t find” my Versa. Versa worked previously without issue w my iPhone 7. Wi-Fi is fine, XR connected to it but FitBit app says it can’t find the network and can’t find the device (Versa). Anyone else?

Hello @Debo6 and @Move2, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you around @RogerBest and @Dlff, thanks for your insight about this situation. It's always nice to see you @Marrrmaduke, thanks for all your help. Smiley Happy

@Debo6 and @Move2, I appreciate your participation in the Forums, for reporting this situation and for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, as @Marrrmaduke suggested, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your old phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device, then turn off Bluetooth on the old phone and try to sync with your new phone. Additionally, I would like to suggest you to enable Notifications or All-day Sync, this will prompt a pop-up to appear. When the pop-up appears asking you to Pair your tracker to your device, tap on Pair and continue.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I have same issues

worked fine with iPhone 7 and will not connect, or recognise my iPhone X. Getting to the point of pure frustration and fed up. Have followed steps exactly as described and nothing

@Debo6 @Move2 Make sure your Versa is not in Bluetooth range of your older iPhone 7. It would be good if you removed the Versa from the Paired devices list. Now, try rebooting your iPhone XS and Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes. Open Fitbit mobile app and force sync.

I understand there is occasionally an issue with the new iPhones auto connecting to the lower speed WiFi. On most if not all routers there is one setting around 2.n (something) and another that is 5.n (something) - they need the higher one. Apparently they can be re-named so you are able to identify them in a WiFi search. If none of the fixes suggested above work have a look at the Apple Community for the details. R-

From my experience Android phones seem to work better than iPhone. I have tried Sammy G N9 & Pixel 3 & therel sync better than iPhone XS Max. Thank you.

I was having trouble with my Charge 2, and finally chatted with support. The iPhone XR is not yet a compatible device, so some features may not work until they finish testing/troubleshooting the app with the XR.

@ninjadeathtoast @Debo6 @Move2 Try this:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions incl pairing
  7. Make sure Fitbit Notifications are enabled in your phone Settings. If they are switch them off, sync, switch them back ON, and sync again.

@Marrrmaduke, I appreciate you have taken the time to share with us a list of troubleshooting steps, I'm sure they will be helpful for many members of the Community facing the same situation.

@ninjadeathtoast, please note that the iPhone XR is already listed as a compatible device, please check the following article: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?, where you can find the entire list of devices compatible with Fitbit. If you notice, the iPhone XR is already listed here. I understand our list of supported devices hasn't been updated yet but our team is working on it. Additionally, please follow @Marrrmaduke's list of troubleshooting steps and let us know in case you need anything else.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, feel free to reply in case you need anything else.

I am not able to get my Versa to connect to my iPhone XR even after trying all of the steps listed here that’s i am able to try. My old phone is gone, so that is not an option. Does anyone have any suggestions or do I need to get a different brand of fitness tracker that will work with my new phone?

I do not have my old phone, and none of the steps in this forum are working to get my Fitbit  Versa to sync with my iPhone XR.

When will this be fixed? I just got a new iPhone XR and can’t get any text notifications. I have tried everything listed. I will never buy a Fitbit product again.

@Mkgoffard sorry but this is not on the Fitbit's side but Apple's. Unfortunately, the ball is in the Apple's court.
