Hi there @Nicdy, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided about your Versa's recent behavior. I'll be glad to help you with this.

As per the description of your post, it seems that the battery on your watch may not be charging properly and therefore does not turn on or even is causing a battery drain. I recommend that you follow these steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Give this a go and let me know the outcome.

Hi, after reading through trouble shooting earlier I reset my Fitbit and managed to get it to charge. I’ve reset it back to factory setting, this took some time as it didn’t want to Connect to my phone for a few hours I’ve took a screen shot of how it was stuck for a hour or so.
I’ve reinstalled my Fitbit app and turned my phone off and on again I’ve managed to get my versa up and running.I charged it to 100% battery power this afternoon then worn it. I turned Bluetooth off so wasn’t updating all afternoon yet I am now on 33% battery I’ve only done 3400 steps since the 100% ChargeIt wasn’t like this 2 days ago, It would last nearly a week on a charge
Also I’ve noticed the red lights are no longer lighting up on the back of my watch. The green lights still do Any advice? Should I get in touch with warranty?

I’m basically having the same issues with mine and it’s also fairly new...I’m confused as to how to reset. My app isn’t working and my watch is draining and not counting all my steps at all. So frustrating!

Hi there @Nicdy, thanks for getting back and for the update. Before considering other options, I'd recommend taking a look at this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

With the regards to the red lights, please note that optical heart rate tracker turns red during the tracking of sleep and changes to green shortly after the customer is awake.

Please make sure to check them out and let me know if the issue persists. If such is the case, my best recommendation will be to get in touch directly with our Technical Customer Support department here. Also, I can contact them for you if necessary, just mention me and I'll move forward with the request.

Hello there @Karinaand4pups, thanks for stopping by and for the details shared in your post. If your Versa Lite isn't tracking your steps, please restart it by following the steps provided here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If you continue seeing that it isn't tracking your steps accurately, take a look at this article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

I'll be around, let me know how it goes.

Hi, I have looked though the info you suggested and like I said previously I’d already looked though the website and troubleshooting before contacting you. I also have not changed anything to do with my versa or how I use it however it has gone from what I would call a normal battery life lasting 4/5 days depending how much I use it to not even lasting half a day pretty much over night.
