Versa isn't pairing, no notification and no heart rate monitor

I've been having problems with my versa for weeks. I've not had accurate heart rate monitoring for a month and now it's no longer pairing with my iphone 7.
I've got a call open with the help desk apparently there is a known issue with the heart rate monitor and developers are working on a fix but I can't find out any further information and there has been nothing said on the community boards even though a number of people have started topics threads about the lack of heart rate monitor info.
I've have a couple of different online chats most recently this week were it seems like a failed factory reset has resulted in my versa no longer pairing with my iphone even though the two are linked so while the device syncs I don't receive notifications and can no longer use the music controls. The online team try to help via chats but I'm getting nowhere and am incredibly frustrated. Is anyone else experiencing a range of never ending problems and can anyone shed some light here other than 'restart' or 'perform a factory reset'. I don't want to give up on Fitbit but I do need a device that works and is reliable.

I can't help but I'm having the same issues. Heart rate monitor stopped working, the light on the back went out and I didn't even get it wet. Tried a factory reset to see if it would fix the issues and now it won't pair with my phone all the way. It seems to be partially paired like it's updating my steps, but I keep getting a notification that bluetooth pairing failed. Support  didn't help, they just gave me a discount to buy a new one. 

 

This is my 3rd versa, I like them but they have serious issues that fitbit needs to resolve. My friends with different fitbits never have these issues. My first one had battery issues, the second died after getting only slightly wet, and now this one is having issues too.
