Versa isn't tracking steps in pool

I have noticed the Versa doesn't always capture all my steps when I do my workout in the pool? I specifically purchased the Versa because it was waterproof and for the reason I workout in the pool. This would be a great feature for the Versa because not everyone is a swimmer or can walk on land.

Hey what I did was to hitch my fingers into the top of my shorts while I walked and it seemed to have picked it .

My versa doesn't have a swim button in the exercise mode, can I get that function?

I put my versa in a plastic baggy and put it under my swimsuit top by my hip. It marks my steps that way every time I pool walk.

Why do you put it in a plastic bag? And does it matter which side? It’s worth a try for me.

It's water proof but I remove the band when in the pool. It just helps to keep it in place.

I place it face out. Not sure that it matters.
