Versa keeps restarting by itself

My Versa restarts every five seconds. My watch will turn on and the logo will display.  Once it’s up the screen freezes and i can’t do anything.   Within a few seconds it restarts.  It has restarted over 50 times within an hour.

I’ve been having problems for the last few weeks.  Everyday it’s something different

Try to put the versa in the charger and plug usb cable into a computer. Then update again.

I called and they sent it under warranty. I didn't have the receipt or
anything.

thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately that didn’t work either 😞

This has happened to me for two days now. Watch kept restarting, battery draining, heartbeat not detected, touch screen malfunction, watch even turned warm. So frustrating.

I've been having a problem too with restarting out of the blue. Sometimes everything's fine and sometimes it restarts itself every two minutes or so. I bought my fitbit only 7 months ago! You'd expect it to work fine for AT LEAST a year.

Unfortunately I can't really afford to buy a new smart watch right now since I'm a student, but as soon as I can, I'll definitely never buy fitbit again.

Yup, this is totally ridiculous. It was working fine until a recent update, now it reboots and freezes randomly. Restarting it works for a bit, but it is always locked up in the am when i wake up.

@lucywho26 this is exactly what was happening to mine, and finally yesterday morning i decided to do a factory reset as i saw suggested in another thread when the versa is not working properly.  well the factory reset was the final nail in the coffin and the versa died instantly. Whatever you do, do not factory reset, if it's a software issue maybe they can push an update that will fix it... the factory reset results in a dead watch!

Same! I got my watch in December of 2018 and just a hare over when the "1 year warranty" expired, it started going crazy, restarting multiple times per day. I can't use it for exercise because it restarts mid-exercise and stops tracking. When it restarts, it buzzes, and the buzzing wakes me up from sleep. I'm certain it's a problem with their firmware because I did a factory reset and then turned off sync, so it couldn't download the new firmware, and it was behaving itself, but as soon as I let it sync and it downloaded the updates, the constant restarting began again.  I have tried to contact customer service, but they just told me they can't help me and I should buy a new watch. I copied and pasted the entirety of my email chain with them in a separate post so others could see how bad the customer service is and hopefully take it as a warning not to do business with Fitbit. The problem is so obviously an issue with their firmware; it just boggles my mind that they won't acknowledge it and fix it.  I will never buy another Fitbit product again.

I had major issues with mine around a month ago, because I had factory reset it, it couldn’t update until I set it up but then it continued to get stuck and crashing.
now since this last update the screen is freezing, the Fitbit logo is displaying constantly and it’s not responding to any buttons!

Mine is doing the same only had it since the end of January, for the price you pay for the versa 2 watch ,you would expect it to work for a long time. 😡😡😡😡

It’s so frustrating. Sounded like nobody wanted to do something about it. I had said a lot of good words about this brand but not anymore. I liked it. But if they are not going to take care of us. I won’t be their customers anymore. @Fitbit  are you listening

Why isn't fitbit not doing anything about this issue ,clearly there is a problem for so many people are complaining about the issue.i would say its not been right since the update ,so if they know about this then get your finger out fitbit and sort it 😡😡

I emailed them yesterday about it, and they hit me back with the ‘here’s how to sync it’ email

i didn’t mention a problem syncing it, as that’s the only thing that seems to working.

I managed to get in touch with them ,and I've told them I've done everything you have asked me to do .But its still doing the same ,so they are going to send me a new watch .I had to fill in a form online and they sent me a confirmation email that I will get the replacement in 4 to 5 working days .If you have done everything possible to try to get it working and its still not working, email them and tell them you are very very disappointed and you want a new watch or a refund. Because you would expect an expensive watch would last for a very long time .

I have this same issue with my versa. I spoke to a support agent who refused to admit the issue was down to their latest firmware which is when this issue started to occur. He offered me a 25% discount on a new watch as this one is now toast! As I already had a replacement device due to another software issue I was not entitled to another replacement so I’m off to Apple.
