Versa keeps shutting down all of a sudden

This is my 2nd versa to replace another broken one. It's only 3 months old and has started shutting down and restarting all day long. The buttons stop working randomly too, so when it is on, I can't even see the screen.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, let the battery completely drain then recharge it, and reset to factory settings multiple times. The battery only last 24-36 hrs due to all the energy it needs to shut down and restart.  Can this company make a product that ACTUALLY works for at least a year??? The first one only worked for 6 months! So frustrating and alot of money wasted!

@Jwright113, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa turns off and on all of a sudden and he battery won't last as long as it should. I appreciate the time spent trying the troubleshooting steps you mentioned above before contacting our forums.

I would like you to try a regular restart. To do so, please follow the steps listed in this help page. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face. Finally, try the tips that are listed in this help article in order to improve the battery life of your watch.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

I had this issue, or something very similar. I warrantied the pebble because It kept randomly restarting.  Curiously, it only does this when I'm not using any of the apps.  I've tracked multiple exercises and even ran a timer for half a day with zero restarts.  I also didn't notice any significant loss of HR or step data throughout the day.  Not sure what that means in terms of fixability.  Fitbit told me to recycle my old pebble when the new one comes in. Crazy how they can afford to just junk every unit that stops working.  Even Samsung wants you to send the old unit back for refurb.
