Versa left button pops up 'music controls' instead of contactless payment!!

I have a VERSA and am happy with it. I use it with earbuds (Fitbit Flyer) and these work well. I also setup a payment card for contactless payment. Now IT SHOULD BE that pressing and holding the left button pops up the paymentcard screen for wireless payment. But more often than not it pops up a screen that says "Music controls". This happens when I am listening to music or not.

I don't know why this happens but it is extremely irritating and obviously a bug. Pressing/holding the left button should NEVER pop up anything to do with music, but ONLY the NFC payment screen (the one with the bankcard). It is not acceptable to want to pay with NCF and one cannot get it work because something in the software prevents there and then, and suddenly for some obscure reason later it works again.

Who has the same experience and has figured out how to solve this. Resetting the fitibit is NOT an option.

@Rich_Laue  That's even more puzzling as the PIN screen ONLY is supposed to pop-up after 24hrs of use or after removing the watch from ones wrist, whatever comes first.

@SunsetRunner"The back button controls both. If you are only seeing the music option you may not be holding the button long enough. Press and hold for a minimum of 2 seconds in order to bring up tap and pay."

I do that, but now I see that I in fact can swipe the screen, that was VERY subtle. There are three panels, one is music control (the one I thought was stuck), the other (that I didn't see) is the paymentcard screen, and the third says screen wake/notification.

That's really interesting, I didn't see this before. I might have discovered the solution myself 🙂 I will definitively start to try this out now and see if it keeps working like this

Holding my button in pops up the pin screen, I can then swipe or enter the pin

@lenny4d mabey if I wore the band tighter it would not think it has been removed from my wrist as much, but I'm wearing it as Fitbit recommends.

@Rich_Laue  you may want to try to fasten it one 'hole' tighter and see if that solves the issue? At least then it confirms something. Just a suggestion ... 🙂

One hole tighter I find is uncomfortable, for th few times a week I use pay I would normally need to put in the pin wntway.
