Versa life not tracking all steps

Just got a new versa lite and I’ve been taking the same path every day and only half of my steps are showing on my tracker. Previously had a zip to tracks steps on that path.

@LSmith84 Welcome to the forum! What's the discrepancy we are talking about? The first thing to do is to reboot your tracker several times by holding the back button for 10 seconds. You can also make sure that your Wrist Placement setting in your Fitbit mobile app is set to non-dominant for Versa.

I do have the setting on non-dominant hand in my app and I did reboot my verse lite as you suggested. I will see if all of my steps record this afternoon when I walk. I know the path I take is 4K steps and my versa lite is not recording that many.

@LSmith84 how many is it recording? Just out of curiosity. 🙂 And how do you know it's exactly 4K?

I previously had a zip and that’s how many it recorded.  The versa lite when taking the same route is recording at least 1k-2k less than that.

@LSmith84 That is a significant difference. Would you happen to know the distance in km? Also, are you relying on smarttrack or do you start the Walk exercise manually on your Versa?
