Versa lite is saying "Data not cleared Sync & try again"

Last night I had to erase the data of my Fitbit Versa Lite because I was giving it to my sister as a present. I went into the settings and erased the data but then immediately "Data not cleared Sync & try again" came on to the screen please help (pressing the power button doesn't work I've Tried)
