Versa lite not connecting to bluetooth headphones

I am having issues connecting my bluetooth headphones with my versa lite. When I go to settings and bluetooth in my versa lite I dont even get the "+ device" option. There is nothing but "on" "pair" "off" and if I let it sit in "pair" nothing happens.
