Tried everything i can think of and the watch will not pair. Won't even show up under bluetooth but will sync (most times).

Hello @Cranz525 are you doing the setup through the Fitbit app? 

They only thing that you have to do is remove the tracker from your phones Bluetooth setting. Setup must be done through the app.

It syncs fine but to connect for music control and alerts it will not.

For music on Android you need to go into the settings on the Versa Light. Set Bluetooth to pair. 

On phone pair the Versa Light Classic.
