Versa locked and removed from Account, how do I access it again?

So I just got the Fit Bit Versa for Christmas, and I set up the wallet pay app which requires a pin... I then without noticing I was even doing it, put in the code more than 10 times 😧 !!

Then it came up with ‘unlock with your phone’.

i then went into the app and it asked me to reset the pin code,I followed the instructions that each box came up with and it just said every time ‘error , please try again later’.

Then after getting frustrated, I accidentally removed the versa from the app!!!! 😧 to try and re-install it thinking it would work! But then realised the app sends a code to the watch that you have to enter in BUT I can’t access the watch!!

please help 😧 !

Hello @ZGD, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, I would like to suggest you to perform a factory reset on your watch.

Factory reset your Versa will erase apps and all personal data from the device, including credit or debit cards you added (on devices that support Fitbit Pay). Note that you will have to set up your Versa as a new device once the factory reset has completed which will grant you access to it again.

To perform a factory reset, on your device, open the Settings app > About Factory Reset or Clear User Data.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

Hello, thank you for your response.

I have been in contact with fit bit on Facebook  and they have tried to get me to do the factory reset as well. But it doesn’t work, I’ve tried several times!

This watch is faulty. The time is even 10 hours off as well. I’m not happy at all. This is a brand new fit bit and I got to use it for 1 week. How great.

Unfortunately it is still locked and the guy on the phone was absolutely useless and basically told me there’s nothing else he can do and that I should take it back to the store we bought it from. But the store won’t take it back!

so basically just $300 down the drain!

Unfortunately not! Fit bits customer service did not give a **ahem**, and ended up telling me that there was nothing more they could do!

money down the drain and I’ll never buy off fit bit again!!!

Apply this and then add the device again. It should work. For me it did.

  1. On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time-sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears, and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Once the Fitbit.com/setup screen appears, open the Bluetooth settings on your phone and unpair the watch from the list. Then, please set up the watch back to your account with the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
