I have a problem were versa is counting steps while standing still at work and all of the sudden, while in my car, I've taken 10,000 steps.
My wife tested just now and hers didn't register all of the 30+ steps.
Is this a common problem were there is a solution or is it about time to consider a return?

Do you wear it on your dominant or non dominant hand?
if you wear it on your dominant hand, you should change your settings.
When I ride my motorcycle, the Fitbit thinks that I ride my bike.
Fitbit records every move you make. Depending on the movement it records walking, sporting, swimming, cycling etc.
Same ‘problem’ with the Fitbit Surge, Blaze and Versa.

I've already set it for non dominant hand from the start.
As has my wife done.
The problem as I see it is that it logs steps when I work, and I'm stationary. The same problem goes for a hairdresser I know, and they don't walk around much, do they?
When I took my t-shirt of it logged four steps.
As for the carrides, it logs steps, no exerices of any kind.

It’s kind of normal.. Wear a Fitbit now for four years, and that’s sounds pretty normal...
every movement of your hand can by recorded as a step. It depends on how the movement is like.
a step in nothing more then an arm is going to the front or back.. And yes, when you put on a shirt, your arm is going to the front.. and it has to go down again, that makes to steps already
