Versa malfunctioned and waterlogged after swimming in gym pool

So today my Versa got waterlogged after swimming at my gym pool which I've done before the past month. It kept restarting and eventually shutdown with 95% battery life. I couldn't turn it back on. I noticed a red light on the back and water condensation on the heart rate monitor. Customer service couldn't explain how it got waterlogged despite being used in normal conditions and just offered to send a replacement. This is my second replacement after previously experiencing an issue where my Versa wouldn't turn on after a factory restart. What the heck is going on Fitbit???

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Sorry to hear about your damaged Versa after you swam with it. This isn't expected as you mentioned you could swim with it previously and Support was able to replace it. Hopefully you won't have any issues anymore but thank you for sharing this.

I'll be around.

Thanks for reaching out, @AlvaroFitbit , but do you have any idea as to how it could have gotten waterlogged? I just don't understand how a device built for below 50m swimming couldn't even handle that after 4 weeks?

I just had this happen. They won't do a  thing. They just told me I voided my warranty and will need to purchase a new one!

Yeah. I gave up and downgraded to an Inspire. Some days it doesn't sync up
but that'll only last for no more than 24 hours.

I don't think Fitbit has a good program for smart watches but their
trackers work well.
