Versa mileage and steps seem way off

I’ve skimmed through a lot of posts pertaining to my problem and the answer I repeatedly see is “your stride length probably isn’t correct.” Mine is. It’s automatically set at 28.9” and I got a tape measure out and that was pretty bang on. I even did the math. 11,239 steps at 28.9” per step is way more than the current 2.22 miles that my dashboard is showing. Something seems off

Any other ideas? My Versa is a day old. Maybe it’s just figuring things out?

Just for all you math nerds:

11,239 steps x 28.9” per step = 324,807”

324,807” = 5.12 miles

I got a new versa yesterday and today at like 86?? steps it said i walked 5 miles. I have had a fit bit for 3 years and both of those always showed me walking 5 miles in the 11 thousands. I think my stride is set to 27 something but it's been that for 3 yrs. Help😧

Also,how exactly to you measure your  stride? Thanks

I just received my Versa yesterday but I've had a fitbit for 4 years. I manually set my stride distance but the mileage is showing way less.
