Today my versa says I have done 4.79 miles so far but the circle is not closed. But my miles activity goal is set as 4.5 miles so the circle should be closed. I've tried changing the activity goal and I've tried uninstalling the app.
Any ideas - I'm a bit obsessed about all my circles closing every day!

@AlessFitbit I just did an update for my Fitbit and it got worse. Before it was close to accurate at least. (My goal is 4 and it would close about 5.25) I have over 3 miles in so far today and it's at half. It's still doing it on the app as well. Just thought I would update someone after the update.

If you go to your online dashboard and click steps, a gear icon will pop up. Click on that and check that your miles goal is correct on there. My goal is 5 miles but it was set to 8.05 miles online, for some reason. Fixed my issue!

@amp9. Mine is set to 4. I've checked like 30 times within the past 3 weeks hoping it magically got screwed up. It's just broken

Any word yet.
I understand that in some ways this seems so small and trivial but the whole idea of the Fitbit is to help people achieve small goals in order to keep track of their larger goals.
We all really know what we need to do to stay healthy but we need the psychological help of the Fitbit to get us through these small goals and help us feel good about ourselves.
Without these small achievements what's the point of the Fitbit I know to walk I just need to walk more?

Over a month and still no solution....I continue to question my investment in Fitbit products... Always something 😞

I 100% agree
If you look back this has been going on for over 2 months.
No way I am spending the money on another Fitbit.
Google is going lose business because of this.
Clearly no one cares

@Maliska this did not fix it. It was wrong on the website but then when I went back on my app it had changed it on there to something completely different and when I switched it again to what I wanted it changed it on the website again. Its broken

Today, I updated Android app to version 3.20, then rebooted both my phone and Versa 2. I still have the issue. To recap:
1) In app, going to Account screen, the tapping on Versa 2 under Devices shows Main Goal set to Distance.
2) From Account screen of app, going to Activity, Distance is set to 5 miles. BUT, by doing this, the circle on the Today screen of the app dashboard will not close until 8.05 miles AND my Versa will not buzz and do its fancy graphics until 8.05 miles.
3) Going to the Fitbit website dashboard, moving my mouse pointer over the Today tile will show the settings gear to the lower left of the tile. Clicking on the settings gear shows the daily miles activity goal set to 8.05. Changing it to 5 miles on the website will (at next sync) set the app activity miles to 3.11. Changing the app activity miles back to 5 will (at next sync) set the website dashboard back to 8.05 miles.
4) The miles circle will close on the app dashboard AND the buzz/fireworks will happen on the Versa 2 only when the miles distance on the website goal is reached.
This appears to be a programming problem related to distance units: the website is thinking in kilometers while the app is thinking in miles, even though they both say miles. They're playing tug of war--every time the value gets changed in one, the other changes it into their own units at the next sync. This problem has been going on since late March and the app has been updated twice since then. Time to get it right, Fitbit. It shouldn't be hard.
In the meantime, I leave my app distance set at 3.11 miles (website set to 5 miles) so I get the app circle closing and the Versa 2 fireworks at my 5 mile goal. Note that the stars in the app miles graph will be wrong though because they're linked to the app distance, not the website distance.

Thanks tried and issue still there with circle not completing. I did do the work around someone suggested and ser my goal to 3.11 instead of 5 miles and at least it closed and I get my fireworks when I complete all goals.

@Krystal_R I have tried everything that's been suggested. And nothing has actually fixed the problem.

Try deleting the app and hard set your fitbit

I've tried both. The doesn't fix the circle.

We're talking about the 5 circles that appear by default on the dashboard of the Fitbit app: Steps, Floors, Miles, Calories, and Minutes. The Miles circle does not "close" when reaching the miles goal that's set in the "activity" part of the app.

I'm bewildered, this thread is about the faily activity goal circles in the app. As previously mentioned, yes they do not fill in as expected.
Your phone connected to wifi has nothing to do with the subject
For the tracker to be setup to wifi, the tracker needs to be charging. Once set up the tracker will only connect while charging.
So yes it is impossible to try and help anybody in an hijacked thread.
