Versa model showing approximately double the distance recorded on accompanying Ionic & STRAVA.

I am experiencing a strange problem with my Fitbit Versa,

The unit shows a distance walked that it totally incorrect, we did a

test yesterday using two mobile phones with STRAVA running plus my wifes Fitbit

Ionic. The results are below:-

Wifes STRAVA 7.0 Kms

Wifes IONIC     7.23 Kms

My STRAVA   7.2 Kms

My Versa  15.23 Kms

The step count associated with the 15.23 Kms was 10,568 !!!!!!

The three other measurements are within the expected range of error

but my Versa is totally inaccurate, what can be done ? The step length is set on

‘automatic’ but we have also tried setting the step length to various

different settings with no improvement in accuracy.
