I have the Versa and I haven't used it in a while but wanted to get it set up with new apps on it. When I go to install a new app it tells me I cannot install anything until my FitBit app on my phone and my FitBit itself have been updated to the latest software. My FitBit app is up to date and my Versa says it is too. I can't figure out how to update my Versa so that I can add apps to it if it says there is no new updates.

I had the same issue when I got my new Versa, it's a Versa software update issue, I did a hard reset, then I got the latest version of firmware on my versa device.

Sometimes this has to do with the Fitbit app having to sync with the server which can take between 24-48 hrs. I got a replacement Versa 2 awhile back and wondered why I couldn't get the latest update on my Fitbit app. They said it has to do with that 24-48 hr sync bit. I thought this was strange but I did eventually get the update notification on my Fitbit app so this may be the issue if you haven't used yours in awhile.
