Versa no longer on amazon?

I already have one but I was looking for the Versa on Amazon to buy my girlfriend one for her birthday next month. However, it seems like they removed it. I even tried navigating to the page from a order I place for it but then cancelled a while ago and I just ended up with a "page not found" page. At first, I thought maybe Amazon was sold out. But that seems odd to me because they probably would just say it's out of stock instead of removing the whole page. Is Amazon not going to be selling it anymore? Did anyone who had an outstanding pre order through amazon hear anything about it?

Kind of sounds like no one really knows what's going on. 3 different answers from Amazon so far. I guess tomorrow will tell us for sure whether anything actually ships or not

maybe it's just simply not enough devices, german amazon states all exclusive of the black and peach versas won't be starting until may 10th, my local retailer states they won't have the batch of the other colors until the end of april either, it just really looks like they don't have enough devices, maybe even send out an early batch just to satisfy customers and that's why we have to many people with battery issues/tracking issues.... well, we'll see!

So frustrating that I've had to search out for answers as the consumer though. No one contacted me from Fitbit when I originally placed the order to tell me it was backordered until May(!) Then ordered from Amazon and no one told me that my order was canceled by Amazon. Now just ordered from a local Best Buy for in-store pick up tomorrow. Fingers crossed they have stock. I'll trust it when the **ahem** thing is on my wrist.

I don't know, that sounds a little odd. Especially since there were zero reviews of the Versa on Amazon's site, due to it not being sold yet.

That would be an odd response since basically no retail has received product to complain about (and since it was all preorders, there is no ability to post on Amazon regarding reviews) and all the reviews by "professionals" have been very strong. Regardless, this seems to be an odd situation that no one has a definitive answer.

I agree it's very strange. I ordered a rose gold/peach on April 12, with ETA of April 18 (2-day delivery). For the past few days, I have been aware that the Amazon listing is not available but intermittently I was able to access the listing showing only 4 colors available for purchase, with the rose gold/peach option missing. However, Amazon just charged my card this morning at 3 a.m. EST. Haven't shipped yet.

That person is just trolling. There is no issue other than it was oversold. There is no glitch as my wife has had hers since Tuesday and works flawlessly.

Sorry, but it was. Nowhere in that message do they mention quality issues or recall, which is what you said Amazon told you.

Right because I called them about what "issue" they were referring to and they said that they pulled all of the Versa products off of their page due to a recall. It is a recall issued by Amazon in fear of an actual recall occurring from poor software reviews. They dont want to deal with people returning the product if it is recalled. Hence the "review" that they mentioned. If Amazon finds that the product is stable, they will return it to the site. You can call them to speak with their CS to confirm but that's what I was told. Even canceled and refunded the additional insurance that I purchased for it.

Well amazon is now shipping them.  I doubt they would ship an item that they are recalling.

Well what is interesting is you can still order it on Amazon Uk, Amazon Canada and Amazon Germany (didn't try any the countries). I can't imagine that Amazon would not sell a product with issues in the US but would in other countries. But anything is possible.

My rose gold/ peach just shipped. Arriving on Tuesday - one day earlier than scheduled.

All colors are in stock except rose gold/peach.
