Versa not able to connect to GPS

Whenever I go for a run my fitbit just says "Connecting..." but never connects to my phone for the GPS! I checked and bluetooth is connected, and my phone is getting signal.

Hey @jfalise, it is great to see you around more often! If your phone and your Versa aren't connecting the GPS between each other, try the following tips: 

 

- Turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone 

- Wait 10 seconds and turn it back on

- Reboot the GPS on your iPhone

- Restart your Versa

 

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!

This didn't work.. after a few days I realized I need to have the fitbit app open on my phone when I select the exercise on my versa.. Not sure if this is what is needed to be done for everyone but that wasn't clear to me. Just glad I can do it now

Hey @jfalise, thanks for getting back to me! Smiley Happy If you have an iOS device, probably the Fitbit app isn't allowed to run in the background, 'cause for Android models, the Fitbit app is allowed to run in the background on your phone.

It does not help at all.

I restarted not only bluetooth, but also my smartphoe, Versa.

Versa is still not able to track my run...

Very disappointing....
