I have a versa that I use regularly for indoor walking and running on my treadmill. I have never had an issue with its tracking my distance until recently. For a year, I used the “treadmill” option when tracking exercise on my treadmill to record how far I was going based upon the steps I was taking. I set my treadmill at 4.5 but I run at almost double that pace with a steady cadence, so I don’t rely on the distance estimator on the treadmill itself. My Fitbit is telling me I’m running MUCH slower than I know I’m actually running (this is confirmed when the weather is nice and I run outside with the same cadence and speed), and I don’t know how to adjust it. Is this model simply old and needs to be replaced? Do I need to say screw it and buy an Apple Watch? Can anyone help? Thanks!

Are you holding hand rails at all?

Nope, swinging arms as I normally would.

I also know there’s something going on with the HR sensor because it’s telling me I’m up to 210 BPM at times and I have never had anything read so high. I’ve reviewed some other forum topics and saw that is a common error all of a sudden. I’m not sure if this is related?
