Versa not auto logging walks all of a sudden

My Versa was logging my walks automatically and suddenly it's not.

I've restarted it twice and updated the Fitbit app but it's still not working.

I realize I can manually add it but that doesn't work out calories burned accurately.

I also realize I can start and stop the walk exercise from the Versa but then it's continuously trying to connect to my mobile which I leave at home... plus I sometimes forget to stop the exercise when I get back from the walk.

Why would it suddenly stop working? What else can I try?

Have you confirmed that smart track is still switched on for walking? You can check this by doing the following.

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Exercise tile.
  2. Tap or click the gear icon, and then tap or click the target exercise and turn off/on the auto-recognize setting.

You might also want to reduce the minimum time to automatically track walking from the default 15mins to 10mins.

I've done all the checks and never know if it's going to recognize my walk from one day to the next.

 I'm tired of resetting it.
