My phone is a Samsung galaxy S8 SM-G950U running android 9
When i go for a walk it never connect to the gps on my phone it just says connecting for the whole walk. ive check the app permission, Always Connected enabled, Background App Refresh, Location Services, keeping Fitbit mobile app open during your workout nothing works.

I uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled it that seems to have fixed the connecting GPS problem.

Keep in mind that environmental factors including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover can interfere with your phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites.
