I just got my new Fitbit last week... set it up and couldn’t wait to use it with tracking my walks (which is why I got it) so I went on my walk today and then found out that the usual 5k walk was only showing up as 4K and that the GPS was not connecting... looking online for clues etc nothing seems to work or make it work... I’m using and iPhone 6 The gps was working perfectly on my old Fitbit but not with my new one.... I paid 225 euro for the watch and I was disappointed to find this out after I had done my walk. I do raceatyourpace and each kilometer counts this is why I wear a Fitbit... has anyone got a solution to this problem yet.... or can I contact Fitbit and ask for my money back or a different Fitbit one that the GPS works on.... I have several issues with my NEW Fitbit but this is the most important one at the moment....

Hello @Sharon_1975, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community!
I appreciate you have taken the time to share your experience with the Fitbit Versa and connected GPS, please note that when you select a GPS exercise, Versa vibrates when your phone finds a GPS signal. If your phone doesn't find a signal immediately, keep in mind that environmental factors including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover can interfere with your phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites.
For best results, wait for your phone to find the signal before you start your workout. However, if you don't want to wait you can start your workout and GPS tracking begins when your phone finds a signal. Next, check the following points to ensure your Versa can connect with the GPS on your phone:
After verifying all the requirements, try using GPS again by following the instructions in How do I use multisport or exercise mode on my tracker?
If you're still having difficulty, try these troubleshooting steps:
I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

My Fitbit verse suddenly ceased to connect with gps although it linked with my Samsung J6 in every other function. After trying a restart on the Fitbit and rebooting my phone with no success I eventually cured the problem by uninstalling the Fitbit app on the phone and then downloading the app again from google play store, this restored full gps function Without losing any previous data.

Please try to switch off wifi on your phone at first. This action save my Versa Lite.

then back at home, searched the web / forum for answers and found this thread
i tried something on my samsung s9 there are some power saving settings under
