Versa not connecting to apps?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got the Versa (the special edition with the chip reader) but I can’t figure out how to download apps. If I go to the apps on the mobile app, it gives me a couple but nothing for social media, like messenger (my specific concern, but the others also matter). I can’t access 99% of the apps I do want and need. How do I fix that??

Hey @emger32, let me give you a warm welcome to the Forums and congrats on getting your Fitbit Versa! Smiley Happy Your Fitbit watch comes preloaded with a variety of apps including Alarms, Music, and Exercise. From the home screen, swipe left to see the apps currently installed. You can install additional apps using the Fitbit App Gallery. Accessed through the Fitbit app, the Fitbit App Gallery is where you find and install new apps for your watch. The App Gallery offers apps to address a variety of health, fitness, timekeeping, and everyday needs. For example, the Weather app allows you to check your local weather on your wrist. Additional apps are added periodically to the App Gallery, so check back often to find new apps.

All apps and clock faces in the Fitbit App Gallery are free to download. However, some apps and clock faces require a paid subscription service (such as Pandora and Deezer) or a one-time activation fee (to a developer).

- How to add apps to your Fitbit watch

Up to 39 apps can be installed on your watch at a time. Your watch must be connected to Wi-Fi in order for some apps to install or update.

To install an app:

  1. With your watch nearby, on the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon () > your device image.
  2. Tap or click Apps > All Apps.
  3. Browse the available apps. When you find the one you want to install, tap or click it.
  4. Tap or click Install.
  5. Some apps require certain permissions in order to work properly, such as access to the internet or the ability to run in the background. Review these requested permissions and tap or click Install to add the app to your watch. Note that some permissions can cause your phone to use more data. If you decide at a later time that you don’t want an app to have certain permissions, you can adjust these permissions later.

If you need further help with your apps, you can review the information in this article or keep me posted. I'll be glad to help you out! 😉
