Versa not connecting to phone during a run

I use my Fitbit versa to track my runs. Before I set off, I make sure my phone and versa are connected then put my phone in my pocket and set off. However, during my run my versa always changes to ‘connecting’. For the large part of my run it constantly says ‘connecting’ meaning my distance and route map are not accurate. I have tried disconnecting my versa from my phone and the app and reconnecting but I am still having no luck. Any advice, considering the run app is one of the main reasons I got the versa and not a cheaper Fitbit!

Regarding the connection issues that your Fitbit Versa has experienced with your phone during your running activities, I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. Also, I'd like to share this help page which explains how the GPS feature works on your Fitbit device and it contains more troubleshooting steps for you to try.
